Apply for funding: Step 6. Submit your application

6. Submit your application

Before submitting your application

Once you have prepared all required documents, you may submit your application using the Broadband Fund’s Online Intake System. Make sure your application includes all required forms, attachments, and supporting evidence requested in the Online Intake System and the Technical and Program Details Guide.

The Online Intake System permits you to save unfinished applications. You are not required to complete your applications in one session.

You must submit your application by 13 August 2026 at 5 p.m. Vancouver time (8 p.m. Gatineau time). Applications that are incomplete or that have not been submitted by the application deadline in accordance with the process set out will not be considered for funding. The CRTC may permit an applicant to clarify or correct inadvertent errors, deficiencies, or omissions in an application after the application deadline.

Apply for funding

Start your application using the Online Intake System

On the first page of the Online Intake System, you can start a new application, resume work on an application in progress, and see applications you have already submitted.

Interactivity

The Online Intake System is interactive. The questions you are asked will depend on how you answered previous questions. You can return to previous responses and change them, which may change which questions appear on the following pages.

Required fields

You must provide an answer to required questions (marked with an asterisk (*)) before you can move on to the next page.

Group applications

If you’re submitting on behalf of a partnership, joint venture, or consortium, some questions must be answered for each member of the group. Once you select “Applicant Group”, you cannot switch to “Single applicant”’ without starting a new applicant – and vice versa.

Attachments

At the end of each section, you will be prompted to upload supporting attachments. Follow the naming conventions provided in the Online Intake System. Only underscores are allowed as special characters.

Saving and editing

You can save your progress and return anytime to continue your application.

Maximum character count

Each text box has a maximum character limit (including spaces). If your response exceeds it, the system will cut off your response to submit your application.

Starting an application

1. New Applications

Click “Add Application” to begin a new application. You will be asked a few set up questions before accessing the application form. The form includes multiple sections; make sure you complete all required sections.

2. Applications in Progress

You can save your work at any time and return later. To continue, click “Resume Application” next to an existing application in the list. Your application must be fully completed and include all required attachments before you can submit it.

Important: Applications that are not submitted by the deadline date will not be considered for funding.

3. Submitted Applications

Applications listed in this section have been submitted. Your primary contact will receive a temporary confirmation number upon submission, and a final confirmation number at the time the call closes.

To retain a copy, click “Download Application”.

Note: You can modify a submitted application until the call for applications deadline. In this section, choose the “Edit Application” button next to a submitted application. This will remove the application from the Submitted Applications list, and it will be listed under Applications, at which point you can modify your application. Note that you must re-submit your application again for it to be considered for the Broadband Fund.
