Zero Tolerance Policy

CRTC staff treats clients with courtesy and respect and expects that they do the same. Calls or written messages that contain demeaning, threatening or otherwise abusive language towards staff will not be tolerated.

Warning: Scam calls impersonating the CRTC

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has been made aware of scam phone calls impersonating the CRTC.

Canadians are receiving calls from various phone numbers, including the CRTC consumer support line (1-877-249-2782).

The CRTC will never ask you to give out personal or financial information over the phone or threaten to disconnect your services.

How to submit a request

  • the name of your event
  • the name of the organizer(s)
  • the date and location of the event
  • the topic you would like addressed
  • background information about your audience size and composition (e.g., students, lawyers, policy experts, industry etc.)

Note: Requests should be submitted at least six to eight weeks before your event.
