Distribution List

Subject: Submission of Emergency Roaming and Mutual Assistance Reports

Canada’s major telecommunications carriers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Telecommunications Reliability, which sets out procedures for (i) emergency roaming, (ii) mutual assistance, and (iii) communications with the public and government authorities during telecommunications emergencies or other similarly impactful disasters. Following such events, carriers involved in emergency roaming or mutual assistance are to submit their emergency roaming or mutual assistance reports to the Commission within 30 days.

To streamline the submission process for these reports to the Commission, you are required to file them going forward through my CRTC Account using a new file reference 8000-C12-202506205. When submitting these reports, you must clearly identify all confidential information.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Aysha Omar, Director Broadband and Network Engineering, at aysha.omar@crtc.gc.ca or 819-664-5624.

Sincerely,
