Notice of hearing – Making it easier for consumers to shop for Internet services – Changes to procedure

Further to Notice of hearing – Making it easier for consumers to shop for Internet services, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2024-318, 4 December 2024, as amended by Telecom Notices of Consultation CRTC 2024-318-1, 14 February 2025, 2024-318-2, 28 February 2025, and 2024-318-3, 17 June 2025, the Commission extends the deadlines for filing responses to requests for information (RFIs) and for filing final written submissions.
In light of what follows, the Commission extends the deadline to file responses to the RFIs to 11 August 2025, and the deadline for parties to file final written submissions to 5 September 2025.
Due to an administrative error, the RFIs referenced in Telecom Notice of Consultation 2024-318-3 were not sent to some of the intended recipients. When the error was identified 12 days after the RFIs were sent, on 15 July 2025, a copy of the RFIs was sent to those recipients.
Therefore, as a matter of procedural fairness to ensure that all parties have at least as much time as was provided in the original deadline to file responses to the RFIs, the Commission is extending the deadline by 12 days.
As a result, the Commission is also extending the deadline to file final written responses to provide parties adequate time to comment on information brought up in the responses to the RFIs.
