Notice of hearing – Making it easier for consumers to shop for Internet services – Changes to procedure

Deadline to file responses to requests for information: 30 July 2025

Deadline to file final submissions: 20 August 2025

Further to Notice of hearing – Making it easier for consumers to shop for Internet services, Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2024‑318, 4 December 2024, as amended by Telecom Notices of Consultation CRTC 2024‑318‑1, 14 February 2025, and 2024‑318‑2, 28 February 2025, the Commission announces that requests for information (RFIs) will be issued by 3 July 2025.
The deadline for parties to submit responses to these RFIs is 30 July 2025. The deadline for parties to file final submissions is 20 August 2025. All these documents will be added to the record of this proceeding as they become available.
As part of their final submission, parties may address written interventions and responses to RFIs as well as comments made during the oral phase of the hearing. However, they must not introduce any new evidence. The Commission encourages parties to comment on specific proposals put forward throughout this proceeding. The Commission will not take into consideration information and comments dealing with matters that are not already on the record.
The Commission encourages parties to monitor the public record of this proceeding for additional information they may find useful when preparing their final submission.
With respect to the deadlines to file responses to RFIs and final submissions, the Commission considered the time of year and other hearings to give all parties, including persons with disabilities, sufficient time to file.
