Good morning and welcome to this hearing of the Commission. My name is Ellen Desmond, I am the Commissioner for the Atlantic Region and the Nunavut, and I will chair this hearing. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Stéphanie Paquette, Commissioner for the Quebec Region as well as Nirmala Naidoo, Commissioner for the provinces of Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Jade Roy is our Hearing Secretary and Laura Leclerc is our Legal Counsel. I invite the Hearing Secretary to present the items on the agenda for today.

Le 29 août 2025, le Conseil a publié l’avis de consultation de radiodiffusion CRTC 2025-220. Le Conseil a également publié 2025-220-1 le 29 octobre 2025 afin d’étudier les demandes suivantes :
Item 1 is an application by Résonance Média Inc. (Résonance), on behalf of Coopérative Web Média des Sources (Coopérative), for authority to change the ownership and effective control of the French-language commercial radio station CJAN-FM Val-des-Sources, Quebec. Through this transaction, Résonance will acquire from Coopérative the assets necessary to operate the station. Following the closing of the transaction, Résonance would become the licensee of CJAN-FM.
L’article 2 est une demande présentée par Québecor Média inc. (Québecor), au nom de Vidéotron ltée (Vidéotron) et de Freedom Mobile Inc. (Freedom), en vue d’obtenir l’autorisation de transférer de Freedom à Vidéotron, dans le cadre d’une réorganisation intrasociété, l’actif des entreprises de distribution de radiodiffusion (EDR) terrestres desservant la région métropolitaine de Toronto (y compris Ajax, Aurora, Bolton, Brampton, Caledon, Claremont, Etobicoke, Georgetown, King City, Markham, Milton, Mississauga, Nobleton, North York, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Scarborough, Toronto, Vaughan et Woodbridge), ainsi que Barrie, Hamilton-Niagara et Oshawa (Ontario), du service sur demande national, ainsi que de l’entreprise en ligne RiverTV.
