Opening of Hearing at 11:05 a.m.
Chairperson: Order please.
Good morning and welcome to this hearing of the Commission. My name is Ellen Desmond, I am the Commissioner for the Atlantic Region and the Nunavut, and I will chair this hearing. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Joanne Levy, Commissioner for the provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan as well as Stéphanie Paquette, Commissioner for the Quebec Region. Alexanne Patry is our Hearing Secretary and Galen Weaver is our Legal Counsel. I invite the Hearing Secretary to present the item on the agenda for today.

Le 7 mai 2025, le Conseil a publié l’avis de consultation de radiodiffusion CRTC 2025-92 afin d’étudier la demande suivante :
Le Conseil a reçu une demande de Vista Radio Ltd. (Vista), au nom de Golden West Broadcasting Ltd. (Golden West), afin d’obtenir l’autorisation de modifier la propriété et le contrôle effectif de la station de radio commerciale de langue anglaise CJGY-FM Grande Prairie (Alberta) et de ses émetteurs CJGY-FM-1 Fort St. John et CJGY-FM-2 Dawson Creek (Colombie-Britannique). Par cette transaction, Vista acquerra de Golden West l’actif nécessaire pour exploiter la station et ses émetteurs. À la clôture de la transaction, Vista deviendrait le titulaire de CJGY-FM et de ses émetteurs CJGY-FM-1 et CJGY-FM-2.
