Subject: Combining of two Part 1 Applications for the Review and Variance of Mandatory Notification and Reporting of Major Telecommunications Service Outages, Telecom Decision CRTC 2025-225, 4 September 2025
This letter is to inform you that the Commission will combine the Part 1 application filed by several telecommunications service providers on 7 October 2025 to Review and Vary Telecom Decision 2025-225 (the Decision) and the Part 1 application filed by Telesat on 3 December 2025 to Review and Vary the Decision into one proceeding.
Both Part 1 applications raise related issues regarding the Decision. Accordingly, the Commission finds that it would be more efficient and effective to make its determination on both Part 1 applications together and to issue a single decision.
