Subject: Proposed changes to porting verification processes - Extension Request
Dear Justin Gerogiannis:
We are following up on the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Interconnection Steering Committee Business Process Working Group’s (BPWG) letter dated 26 February 2025. In this letter, the BPWG requested an extension to submit a revised redacted version of Task Identification Form Report BPRE104A (the Report) and associated documents to the Commission.
The BPWG submitted that an extension is needed to review the issue and to proceed with a recommendation to the Commission regarding proposed measures to prevent fraudulent porting. The BPWG committed to submitting its recommendation to the Commission by 5 September 2025.
The Commission has reviewed the BPWG’s request and finds it reasonable. Accordingly, the Commission approves the extension and requests that the BPWG file any updated materials, including a revised redacted version of the Report and associated documents, by 5 September 2025.
All documents must be received by 5 September 2025 and can be filed on the Commission’s website using GCKey.
Any questions pertaining to this letter may be directed to Cyrille Epée, Manager, Broadband Engineering, cyrille.epee@crtc.gc.ca.
Sincerely,
Marc Morin
