RE: Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-80 - Review of outstanding wholesale high-speed access service issues related to interface rates, optional upstream speed rates, and modem certification requirements rate - Extension of deadline for replies: 5 April 2013
The Commission issued Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-80 (NOC 2013-80) on 21 February 2013. In it the Commission requested comments associated with the Review of rate principles for interface rates, optional upstream speed rates, and modem certification requirements rate.
In NOC 2013-80, the Commission indicated that parties to the proceeding and interested persons who wished to become parties to the proceeding regarding the upstream speed options and modem certification requirements had to file an intervention with the Commission by 25 March 2013. The Commission also indicated that it would post the interventions on its website shortly after 25 March 2013 and that all parties could file reply comments with the Commission, serving copies on all other parties, by 2 April 2013.
Additionally, the Commission is in receipt of a letter, dated 27 March 2013, from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Companies) requesting an extension to the current filing date for reply comments of 2 April 2013 to 4 April 2013.
Due to technical difficulties, the Commission will be extending the reply comment date. All parties may file reply comments concerning the rates for upstream speed options and modem certification requirements with the Commission, serving copies on all other parties by 5 April 2013.
The Commission staff considers that this extension resolves the deadline extension request made by the Bell companies in their letter dated 27 March 2013.
The timelines associated with the rates for the wholesale High Speed Access interfaces of the Bell companies and TELUS Communications Company will remain unchanged.
Yours sincerely,
