Director, Regulatory Affairs Dear Mr. Connolly: RE: Tariff Notice 463 - Local calling area On 20 September 2007, the Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Company (TCC), under cover of Tariff Notice 463, in which the company proposed the introduction of a local calling area between the exchange of Sainte-Blandine and the exchanges of Bic, Esprit-Saint, Luceville, Mont-Joli and Saint-Fabien . Commission staff considers that TCC's application raise policy issues with respect to the approval of a temporary surcharge to residential subscribers in the exchange of Mont-Joli which require further analysis. Consequently, the Commission will not be able to render a decision within 10 business days of the date of receipt of the application. The Commission expects to render its decision within 45 business days of the application being filed. Yours sincerely, 'Original signed by D. Magmanlac'
