Re : Application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada for an extension of the timeframe to comply with certain directives set out in Access to Pay telephone service , Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-47 , 15 July 2004

The Commission is in receipt of an application dated 14 November 2006 from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada, (collectively, the Companies) filed under section 62 of the Telecommunications Act and Part VII of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure s (the Rules) to review and vary parts of Access to Pay Telephone Service , Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-47, 15 July 2004 (Decision 2004-47).

An extension of two months to the date at which the Companies are to comply with the directives set out in paragraph 146 of Decision 2004-47 is required to allow the Commission to further examine the application according to the Rules.

Consequently, the Companies' timeframe to comply with the directives set out in paragraph 146 of Decision 2004-47, is extended from 31 December 2006 to 28 February 2007 .   Meanwhile, the other directions to the Companies set out in Decision 2004-47 remain unchanged.
