Mr. David Hennessy Dear Mr. Hennessy: Re: Aliant Telecom Tariff Notice 214 On 27 October 2006 , Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant) filed housekeeping changes for revisions to Aliant Telecom General Tariff (CRTC 21491) items 502, 503 and 504, to correct omissions in the Digital Switched Network services tariffs. Bell Aliant proposed to introduce a charge for diversity on the Access component of each respective DSN service and to note the charge applicable to the Digital Exchange Access (DEA) Service for translations changes. Commission staff notes that a tariff has not been approved for translation changes and that the proposed reference to translation changes is not clear. Accordingly, the file is now closed. The Commission is willing to consider a new application from Bell Aliant under the cover of a new tariff notice for the introduction of the charges for translation changes (with supporting cost studies) to the DEA service, and for changes related to the diversity charge. Sincerely 'Original signed by P. Godin'
